NOW Music is proud to present the next instalment in our ongoing ‘Yearbook’ series – and our first to celebrate the ‘90s, NOW – Yearbook 1992; 79 tracks from a brilliant year in Pop!George Michael’s Dance classic ‘Too Funky’ from the ‘Red Hot & Dance’ project – opens the first disc, followed by the longest-running #1 of the year – with 8 weeks at the top - ‘Stay’ from Shakespears Sister, the final single from The KLF with ‘America: What Time Is Love?’ and U2’s ‘Even Better Than The Real Thing’, remixed by Perfecto.

Now That’s What I Call Music head back to the 1970s for NOW Yearbook 1977. In 4CD guise deluxe hardcover book and card sleeve versions this offers 80 tracks including Queen, Status Quo, Lake and Palmer, ELO, Leo Sayer, David Soul, Boney M, The Stranglers, The Clash, The Jam, Elvis Costello, Paul Simon, Bryan Ferry, Marvin Gaye, the Commodores, 10cc, Mike Oldfield, Kenny Rogers, and Paul McCartney and Wings. The 3LP blue vinyl edition delivers 49 tracks across its six sides of vinyl. Full tracklistings are below. Now That’s What I Call Music will continue their Yearbook ‘Vault’ series next month with 4CD and 3LP vinyl editions of Now Yearbook Vault ’84 which pulls together ‘lesser compiled’ tracks from what is SDE’s favourite year in pop. The 4CD sets (deluxe hardcover book with 28-page track-by-track guide and standard editions) feature 80 tracks, while the 3LP version pressed on blue vinyl 45 songs. The full tracklistings can be found below, but feature plenty of familiar acts with for some less familiar singles. Artists include Heaven 17, ABC, Soft Cell, Culture Club, Level 42, Blancmange, Hazell Dean, Divine, Cocteau Twins, Siouxsie And The Banshees, Malcolm McLaren, Sparks, The Associates, Go-Gos, Donna Summer, Bon Jovi and many more. All formats of Now Yearbook Vault ’84 will be released on 4 October 2024.

It’s great to see John Lennon’s posthumous hit ‘Nobody Told Me’ on CD 3 as well as singles from Lloyd Cole and The Commotions, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Sandie Shaw, Pretenders, Marillion, The Stranglers and Echo and the Bunnymen. There’s also some interesting selections on the second disc including Talk Talk, David Sylvian, Tears For Fears and The Kane Gang.
