Sides is officially the third (but technically the fourth) solo album from former Genesis guitarist Anthony Phillips. It was released in 1979 by Passport Records. For a limited period it was sold bundled with a complimentary copy of his Private Parts and Pieces album. This album was produced by Rupert Hine and intended for a mainstream audience. On the original LP, side one showcased shorter pop songs, while side two highlighted longer, more progressive pieces. Genesis crew members Dan Owen and Dale Newman provide vocals on some tracks. Peter Cross did the artwork for the album.
Excellent addition to any prog rock music collection.
This is his third classic and acoustic guitar oriented album.

After passing his LGSM exams, he taught music at Reeds School and Peper Harrow whilst continuing to compose and record in his home studio.
Chant for the First Mass of Christmas according to the Salisbury Rite. It would have been celebrated after midnight on Christmas Eve, and was known as the Missa in gallicantu - the Mass at Cockcrow. The chant has been taken from printed sources which would have been in use when composers such as Tallis and Tye were at the height of their powers…
The Englishman Peter Philips spent most of his life abroad, and was celebrated all over Europe in his day. Despite this, Philips’s music has been neglected since his death in 1628—of his immense output of vocal music, to this day most people know only a handful of motets from the five-voice Cantiones sacrae (1612). The present recording of half of the companion volume of eight-voice motets seeks to remedy this situation.
The follow-up to 2009's Good Day, Peter White's 13th studio effort, 2012's Here We Go, features more of the adept smooth jazz guitarist's lyrical and lightly funky cuts. Sticking primarily to his acoustic nylon-string guitar, White mixes in keyboards, various percussion instruments, saxes, and horns to create various moods throughout with the primary vibe being one of relaxed joy. To these ends, we get the steamy R&B-infused cut "Time Never Sleeps," the languid instrumental pop of "Our Dance," and the club-ready dance number "Joyride." Adding to the sophisticated aura of the album are guest appearances by such artists as David Sanborn, Andrew Neu, and Kirk Whalum.
