Red Road

Since 2003, "Lion Whisperer" Kevin Richardson has developed a remarkable bond with the predators of a 1,100-acre sanctuary in South Africa. But these relationships will be put to the test over the coming months as Kevin and his team of wildlife biologists must transfer them all to a new home. Witness the obstacles Kevin faces, from bureaucratic hurdles that threaten the move to the physical challenges of getting 27 lions, 14 spotted hyenas, and four black leopards in the van during these truly wild road trips.

Shelby Gordon inherits a house from grandfather in remote woods of Copperhead County, she and friends Carissa, Lindsey, Chelsea, Travis check it out. The road is closed and must hike in. Shelby discovers that her father had a brother Joshua (John Otrin) who was institutionalized when he was young. When her friends start to disappear, Shelby suspects that Joshua is still alive and hiding in the Red House. Also being threatened by a couple of local pot growers, Pink and his son Will. Is Joshua torturing and killing her friends or is someone else? With the help of Cole Callahan, the handsome deputy sheriff, she unravels the mystery.

Kaji is sent to the Japanese army labeled Red and is mistreated by the vets. Along his assignment, Kaji witnesses cruelties in the army; he revolts against the abusive treatment spent to the recruit Obara that commits suicide; he also sees his friend Shinjô Ittôhei defecting to the Russian border; and he ends in the front to fight a lost battle against the Russian tanks division.

A disillusioned, bitter ex-GI gets involved with the Communist party, and winds up falling in love with one of his "instructors." At first true believers, they realize their mistake when they witness Party leaders murder a member who questions the party's principles. They try to leave the party, but are marked for murder and hunted by the party's assassins.

The film deals with the Winter War of 1939-40 between Finland and the USSR. It begins with military exercises in the Autumn of 1939 and moves on to the Soviet invasion

Selected moments from rides in the north country, cherry blossoms in spring and red leaves in fall. In Aomori Prefecture, northernmost part of Japan's main Honshu island, we encounter its traditional tenacity of spirit in young children learning to master the local style of shamisen playing. In neighboring Akita Prefecture, children sing songs handed down for generations, tales of fishermen, their families and the sea. Finally, in Fukushima Prefecture, we see how Aizu still lives by the code of its mountain samurai clan, famed for staying true to their principles.
