Pour la première fois les 100 plus belles chansons Disney réunies dans un luxueux coffret 5 CD. Le répertoire couvre 37 films classiques Disney, de Blanche-Neige en 1937 à Vaïana en 2017, en passant par Cendrillon, Le livre de la Jungle, Les Aristochats, La reine des neiges et tous les chefs d’œuvre qui ont bercé tant de générations. Evidemment tous les tubes sont au rendez-vous (Un jour mon prince viendra, Quand on prie la bonne étoile, Il en faut peu pour être heureux, Tout le monde veut devenir un cat, Hakuna Matata, Libérée, délivrée) mais également de nombreuses raretés et des titres jamais sortis en CD comme ceux issus de la bande originale de Dumbo l’éléphant.

Le festival Africa est le plus grand festival de musique et de culture africaines en Europe. Depuis sa fondation, le festival a attiré à Würzburg plus de 1 400 000 visiteurs d'Allemagne et de l'étranger, venus prendre part à la richesse culturelle et la joie de vivre du continent noir. Au programme cette année: Youssou N'Dour, Alpha Blondy, Angélique Kidjo et bien d'autres. Le festival etait inauguré par le ministre des Affaires étrangères M. Steinmeier.

Son nom est Personne. La presse s'en amuse lorsqu'elle titre un article sur le plus connu des bluesman français. Pourtant Paul Personne est devenu quelqu'un. Au fil des galères, de la vie difficile d'un musicien désireux de faire ce qu'il aime, loin des diktats des maisons de disques, il a su construire une carrière d'artiste authentique !!!

Francoise Hardy, the french idol of the 60s, during her "Vogue years", has recorded all her hits in the popular Extended Play 45 rpm format records, with 4 songs in total (2 songs per side). The Ep format was very popular in Europe during the 60s, and usally the albums had nice covers with portrait photos of the artists. This compilation includes 161 hits collected from 35 Francoise's EPs and many bonus songs from 45 and 33 rpm original vinyls released in the golden period 1962 - 1968. It is a collector's paradise since it contains the original mono versions including all Hardy's songs in other languages (English, Italian and German). A rare collection with many photos of beautiful Francoise, detailed tracklits on the scanned back covers and a booklet with all EPs included in pdf format. Enjoy.

"Norwegian saxophone" is the first classical album from the versatile artist Ola Asdahl Rokkones, containing three world premiere recordings. Recorded in the legendary LENDOK Studios in Saint Petersburg, together with conductor Fabio Mastrangelo and The St. Petersburg Northern Sinfonia, this is a unique release of new Norwegian music for saxophone and orchestra.

One of the problems of getting a complete set of songs by a single composer, particularly nowadays, is that there always seems to be at least one singer in the mix who has a defective voice. I should get this out of the way quickly and point out that the fly in the ointment here is Canadian baritone Marc Boucher, who has an uneven, loose vibrato and occasional strain and nasality in his high notes. He is an interesting interpreter, so he has that in his favor, whereas the wonderful soprano Hélène Guilmette doesn’t appear to interpret much at all, but for my taste he gets way too many of these songs to sing. In some of the faster songs, i.e. Les Matelots, his voice doesn’t wobble too much because he doesn’t have that many sustained notes to sing.

By the time of his death, Stravinsky had written The Rite of Spring and World War I had ended in the devastation of Europe. In this dramatic period in history, Fauré strove to bring together the best of traditional and progressive music and, in the process, created some of the most exquisite works in the French repertoire. He was one of the most advanced figures in French musical circles and influenced a generation of composers world-wide.
