Kraut-fusion band formed by Ingo Werner (ex-My Solid Ground) and Nemat Darman (famous Iranian percussionist, multi instrumentalist). Their album "collage" (1974) was recorded in Dieter Dierk's studio. Baba Yaga's music is a convincing medley of ethnic / eastern like improvisations and original spaced out experimentations (with discreet jazzy touches and electronic treatments)…

Call Of the Valley is a symphony in Indian Classical Music. The genius of three brilliant artistes and a collaboration of their music that is exquisitely sweet and bewitchingly pleasing to the ear. It paints for us a tonal picture of gorgeous valleys, laden with tall green pine and chinar trees and sun-kissed, snow-clad peaks of the mighty Himalayas. The three instruments that come together to present this euphorious drama are The Santoor, The Flute and the Guitar. The Santoor is a folk instrument typical of the Kashmir Valley and is extremely popular with the masses.

Deben Bhattacharya (1921–2001) was a field recordist, poet, filmmaker, musicologist and amateur ethnomusicologist, based in Calcutta and Paris. Highly influential, it would not be too bold a stretch to say that his work shaped how we listen to the world: he produced a vast number of LPs, CDs, videos and radio shows of traditional music from India, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe from 1953 until his death in 2001.

The Clientele return in September with Music for the Age of Miracles, their first release of new music since 2010's Minotaur EP and their first album on Tapete Records. After The Clientele released Minotaur, Alasdair MacLean, singer and principal songwriter for the band, made two wonderful albums with Lupe Nunez-Fernandez as Amor de Dias, issued a Clientele best-of called Alone and Unreal, oversaw reissues of Suburban Light and Strange Geometry, and played shows solo or as part of Amor de Dias or The Clientele. He and Lupe have also been raising a family, so the prospect of a new Clientele record seemed to be diminishing.
