Husband-and-wife directorial team Chris Kentis and Laura Lau direct this suspense horror remake starring Elizabeth Olsen. Sarah (Olsen) has returned to the remote country house where she spent her childhood summers to help pack it up and prepare it for sale. While she is alone in the unoccupied, dimly-lit house, mysterious creaking noises start to emanate from upstairs and Sarah soon finds herself caught in the grip of terror.

Deep in the jungle of a remote island in the Pacific lives a new breed of mutant snake. Dr. Andrea Swanson and her research assistant Jake have been studying the species in a top secret military experiment to develop the ultimate anti-toxin. But when tensions rise with the Chinese military, Admiral Bradley Wallace quickly evacuates the island. The Chinese title for this actioner means "unable to hear speech" and it's about Ah Yeung (Ma Sisan), a deaf-mute who leads a gang of equally mute pickpockets in Hong Kong. After an angry young man gets out of prison, he befriends Ah Yeung but their innocent relationship soon leads to violence and gang warfare. This bullet-ridden film, unusually bloody and claiming a high body count, bears a basic premise with a more noble intent than most Hong Kong action fare despite the many on-screen casualties.

Jeremy Wade travels to the Parana River in the remote north east corner of Argentina to investigate the death of a young girl, and once there he discovers a second death. The people who live along this river bank fear the creature they call 'River Dog'. This is a new species to Jeremy, a river monster that somehow got under his radar. This creature is not armed with bone crunching jaws or razor sharp teeth but a razor-sharp blade tipped with tissue destroying venom. But perhaps most bizarre of all is that this monster lives 500 miles from the sea in totally freshwater. His discovery is not only the most alien of all river monsters it is also the largest totally freshwater river monster Jeremy has ever caught.
