Silent Witness

Told from the perspective of victims and survivors in their own words, Mumbai Massacre places viewers inside the nightmarish 60 hours of orchestrated terrorism, broadcast live to the world via cell phones and internet, text and twitter. This program captures the desperation and courage of ordinary people, and how social media became a silent witness and simultaneously transformed news as it happened.

In 1888 the most infamous serial killer of all time, Jack the Ripper, began his reign of terror in the East End of London. Between August and November, five horrifically violent murders took place in Whitechapel. There was a huge manhunt, but the Ripper was never caught. Since then there has been endless speculation about who the Ripper was, what motivated his crimes, and how the killer escaped justice. Presented by the star of BBC One drama Silent Witness Emilia Fox and Britain’s top criminologist Professor David Wilson, this documentary casts new light on the Jack the Ripper case.

Fresh new original songs from one of bluegrass music's brightest new singer-songwriters featuring stellar acoustic musicians and produced by Donna Ulisse. Ali Shumate, a native of Bluefield, West Virginia who now resides in West Palm Beach, Florida is no stranger to the bluegrass world having fronted her own band and been a supporting member of other bands playing festivals and venues on the east coast. After meeting award winning bluegrass singer songwriter Donna Ulisse in 2017, the two began co-writing and many of the results are found on this album, also produced by Ulisse.
