Jace Everett is an American singer-songwriter working in Country genre. His debut single "That's the Kind of Love I'm In" in 2005, was peaked at No. 51 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, and was the first single from his self-titled debut album. He is most recognized for his song "Bad Things", which grew popular due to its feature as the theme song to HBO's immensely popular hit series "True Blood".

The film tells of three women who live a nondescript apartment block in a chaotic world.
Perla (Graciela Borges), her disabled daughter, Nena (Carolina Fal), and their next-door neighbor, Madrina (Rita Cortese) spend their days engaged in unrealistic conversations. For example, Perla dreams of resuming her study of the French language although she is in constant need of blood transfusions to delay her imminent death. The transfusions, are performed by a mysterious female staff member in a surreal stark-white hospital room, and provide rare glimpses of the world outside the block.

After a battle with rival criminals, a small-time gangster is treated by an alcoholic doctor in post-war Japan. The doctor diagnoses the young gangster's tuberculosis, and convinces him to begin treatment for it. The two enjoy an uneasy friendship until the gangster's former boss is released from prison and seeks to take over his gang once again. The ailing young man loses his status as gang boss and becomes ostracised, and eventually confronts his former boss in a battle to the death.
