The Twelve Week Year

Starland Amusement Park is the major tourist attraction in Conch City, located in the panhandle of Florida. Twelve-year-old Carter and his best buddy, Jared, are happy to be hanging out there the week before school starts up. That is until a tragic event kills more than a hundred people inside the park while they watch. The park is shut down for good, and with it all the booming businesses around it. Conch City is quickly leveled to a ghost town.
