Time Cop

Japan has a long history of heroic fictional characters who subdue bad guys by hurling objects at them, such as Zenigata Heiji: the cop who catches criminals by throwing coins and Ultra 7: the henshin hero who temporarily detaches his “Eye Slugger” to hurl at evildoers. To pay homage to that idea, as well as to spoof Japanese detective shows, director Minoru Kawasaki set out to create his own take on the genre. Of course, being the guy that brought us movies like Executive Koala and “Crab Goalkeeper”, plenty of absurdity was in order—but for the first time in his career, he didn’t resort to putting an animal in a typically human a situation.

Angel Cop (エンゼルコップ, Enzeru Koppu?) is a six-part original video animation created and directed by Ichiro Itano. A manga adaptation written and illustrated by Taku Kitazaki was serialized in Newtype Magazine and reprinted as a Newtype 100% collection in 1990. The story initially starts by dealing with terrorism in an alternate-universe 1990s era, where Japan is the largest economy in the world. The communist radical group, the Red May, are trying to bring down Japan's economy and take over the government. In response, a government agency, the Special Security Force, is formed with the ability to act outside the law. However, when the Red May suddenly find themselves being wiped out, the force discovers that something else is hunting the terrorists.

Space Cop is a sci-fi schlock comedy about a cop from the future (of space) who travels to the present, where he's teamed up with a cryogenically frozen cop from the past who has been thawed out in the present. Out of time and out of place, these two unwitting heroes must work together to save the world from a group of renegade aliens and the re-animated brain of a mad scientist bent on global extinction.

‘Music For Cop Shows’ is classic Son of Dave., loaded with instrumental hooks, original blues flavoured songs, irresistible grooves and sly madness. His music has appeared in Breaking Bad, Bloodline, Preacher and other television crime dramas, which seems to have encouraged him to go where the market is, and create a loose cannon of ditties harking back to 1970's cop shows. Or not. It's typical Son of Dave messing with you, using ingredients only he can cook with. Fans know it well. It's his eighth album, and he's not made a weak one yet.

Despite originally having big dreams of one day joining the LAPD, police officer Jimmy O'Neil has instead decided to stay as a local cop of a small Texas town. With the most serious crime committed being an old married couple having a food fight, O'Neil passes the time in the sleepy town by being the head coach of a local all-girls basketball team, and also by playing "cop (s) and robbers" with all of the beautiful girls based in the town. Shortly after O'Neil has finished his final patrol of the night, a gang suddenly ride in to town, who after killing the owner of a gas station, begin to plan on how to open this sleepy town wide apart.

Space Cop is the story of a cop from the future of space who travels back in time to the present and is teamed up with a cop from the past who is unfrozen in the present. Together, they must defeat evil aliens with a sinister plan.
