The ex-Styx lead singer had a US Top 10 hit with 1984’s ‘Desert Moon’ with the album of the same name making the Billboard Top 30. ‘Back To The World’ also made the Top 200 albums. Since then DeYoung fell out of style, but from 2000 he has had a most successful solo career. Digitally remastered and slipcased, and with new notes. Any Styx fan should have at least ‘Back To The World’ in their collection and on this 2-albums-on-1 CD you can’t go wrong.

Television was one of the mainstay acts that emerged from the CBGB scene in New York City. This album features the elliptical lyrics of Tom Verlaine set against the sparse yet complex guitar work of Verlaine and Richard Lloyd The introspective mood of the album, and the careful, instrumental virtuosity of the band were arguably one of the first manifestations of the post punk movement. It was also ranked at #128 in the Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, while Pitchfork Media named the album the 3rd best of the 1970s.

Simply a must heard album in excellent quality!

If Closing Time, Tom Waits' debut album, consisted of love songs set in a late-night world of bars and neon signs, its follow-up, The Heart of Saturday Night, largely dispenses with the romance in favor of poetic depictions of the same setting. On "Diamonds on My Windshield" and "The Ghosts of Saturday Night," Waits doesn't even sing, instead reciting his verse rhythmically against bass and drums like a Beat hipster. Musically, the album contains the same mixture of folk, blues, and jazz as its predecessor, with producer Bones Howe occasionally bringing in an orchestra to underscore the loping melodies…
