Other than a fine Whitesnake tune, “Rock &Roll Women” is the title of the sole and fan-fuckin-tastic album by the Aussie rockin duo of sisters Chrissie and Lyndsay Hammond. Apparently they were active from sometime in 1977 and they went on until sometime in 1982, with the sisters previously having done session work for several Australian artists including Jo Jo Zep, Jon English, Marc Hunter, Flash and the Pan and as a vocal duo some touring with Stevie Wright, Norman Gunston and Daryl Braithwaite…

"I Will Not Go Quietly" and "The Wind Cries Mary" are just two of the highlights from this stormin' album which includes Don Airey, Bernie Marsden and Mario Parga in the line-up with Graham, Cozy and Ray. Formed in 1987, Forcefield’s ever-changing line-up brought together the mainstays of some of the biggest 80s rock bands. The original members were Pete Prescott, Ray Fenwick and Cozy Powell. Amongst guitarist Fenwick’s credits were The Spencer Davis Group, Fancy and The Ian Gillan Band, while drummer Powell had been a key figure in bands of the calibre of Black Sabbath, Rainbow and Whitesnake and is widely regarded as an all-time rock great.

Back in February 2015, THE DEAD DAISIES got the chance to play some rock'n'roll in Cuba and it proved a revelation. The revelation became a revolution as the boys started conceiving their next album. The passion they'd experienced in Cuba was confirmation — the world needs to be reminded that classic rock is alive and kicking — and with the new album, THE DEAD DAISIES were going to deliver just that, a collection of classic rock, "Revolución".

Black Swan is an all-star melodic hard rock ensemble featuring bassist Jeff Pilson (Dokken, Foreigner), vocalist Robin McAuley (McAuley Schenker Group, Survivor), guitarist Reb Beach (Winger, Whitesnake), and drummer Matt Starr (Mr. Big, Ace Frehley). Formed in 2019, the supergroup quickly inked a deal with Frontiers Records and issued the hard-hitting single "Shake the World." Their debut album, 'Shake the World,' an aptly titled album if ever there was one, is a delightful romp of powerful hard rock that is not simply the sum of its parts, but a powerful rock 'n roll machine.

Cozy Powell and Ray Fenwick are joined by Jan Akkerman (Focus) and Tony Martin (Black Sabbath) amongst others to deliver another powerful rocker. The CD contains two extra tracks not available on the other formats. Formed in 1987, Forcefield’s ever-changing line-up brought together the mainstays of some of the biggest 80s rock bands. The original members were Pete Prescott, Ray Fenwick and Cozy Powell. This is probably the best album by Forcefield, the side project masterminded by (I suspect) the trio of Ray Fenwick (formerly guitarist of the Ian Gillan Band), Cozy Powell (drum god, formerly of thousands of bands), and Graham Bonnet (one-time vocalist with Rainbow, Alcatrazz, and The Michael Schenker Group, to name but a few).

As one of the most recorded keyboardists of all time, with over 300 albums featuring his unmistakable sound, Don Airey’s skills have been valued by nearly every rock ’n’ roll superstar. The list includes legendary artists and bands such as Ozzy Osbourne, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Judas Priest, Gary Moore, Brian May, Jethro Tull, Black Sabbath, and, of course, Deep Purple, the band Don Airey has been a full-time member of for over twenty years. After last year’s success, when Deep Purple secured their fourth consecutive number-one album with ‘=1’ and a subsequent global tour, Don Airey kicks off 2025 with the same energy in his solo work.

Donald Smith "Don" Airey has been the keyboardist in the rock band Deep Purple since 2002, succeeding Jon Lord. He has had a long and productive career, playing with such acts as Gary Moore, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull, Whitesnake, Saxon, Wishbone Ash, Steve Vai, Colosseum II, Ten, Sinner, Michael Schenker, Rainbow, Empire, Thin Lizzy, Brian May, Divlje jagode and Living Loud. He has also worked with Andrew Lloyd Webber. A Light In The Sky, is his second solo record. Airey has gathered together a different set of collaborators (though Laurence Cottle of Sting/Eric Clapton/Brian Eno/Bill Bruford fame once again contributes precision bass-playing), though naturally Don provides the record's central creative thrust an entertaining mixture of instrumental and vocal songs, from the Bladerunner-style Ripples In The Fabric Of Time to the hook-laden hard rock of Shooting Star.

Part of the ROCK BALLDS SERIES. This is a DBL CD OF 39SONGS. All rock ballds you know. I like my ROCK in all of its forms, heavy, light, really heavy, and sometimes acoustic even folk. When your middle aged you don,t just want noise all the time like you did when you were 16. I have 3,000 cds, and that includes everybody from SLAYER TO TOTO and everybody else in the rock magazines. I own a few compilations as sometimes you want the hits when doing the jobs. For the pennies i paid at Zoverstocks a must.
