The European release of Whitesnake's commercial breakthrough is actually their eponymous American release retitled 1987. The differences are small, but they are enough to make it interesting. The first difference is the track order, which is very different. The album seems to flow a little better the way it is presented here, especially when utilizing "Still of the Night" as the opening track. This has always been one of their best songs, and by far one of the best Led Zeppelin rip-offs to ever be written…

The 4-CD/DVD collection includes the original album with newly remastered sound, unreleased live and studio recordings, classic music videos, concert footage, a 30 minute documentary, featuring a new interview with David Coverdale, Whitesnake’s founder and lead singer. The music comes with a 60-page hardbound book that’s filled with rare and unseen photos from the era, an extended essay based on new interviews with Coverdale, plus a booklet of the album’s lyrics, handwritten by Coverdale…

Any band would have been hard-pressed to follow the success of a multi-platinum album with another one of equal or higher quality both critically and commercially. Needless to say, that's exactly what David Coverdale and Whitesnake were faced with when it came time to record 1989's Slip of the Tongue, the follow-up to their 1987 smash self-titled LP…

Good to Be Bad is the tenth studio album by Whitesnake released in April 2008. This is the first album of new studio material in a decade, since 1997's Restless Heart, not including the four new tracks recorded for the 2006 live album Live: In the Shadow of the Blues. The album charted at number 8 on the Top Independent albums, number 23 on the Top Canadian albums, number 62 on the Billboard 200 charts, and number 7 on the UK Albums Chart. After the release of the album, a tour began on 23 March 2008 in Wellington, New Zealand. The Australian concerts were followed by concerts in South America, Europe, Japan and North America.

"Here They Go Again" is the first album released by the English rock band The Company of Snakes. It is compiled of live recordings from concerts at the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany (first disc) and in the Norwegian city of Trondheim (second disc). Because of the musical background of band leaders Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody, almost the entire set list consists of old Whitesnake songs. The album title "Here They Go Again" also refers to a famous Whitesnake song "Here I Go Again" (of which there has been two versions; one released on Saints and Sinners and one released on Whitesnake. The Company of Snakes focuses more on the original version). Of this album, "Kinda Wish You Would" is the only song that made it onto T.C.O.S.'s (only) studio album Burst The Bubble.

Although best known from their days in Whitesnake, Bernie Marsden & Micky Moody prove here that good old fashioned blues/rock is far from dead. This album was a taster for their new studio album also being released on Talking Elephant. Here we see the band rocking the stage with classic Whitesnake numbers. Fronted by Johnny Lande Norwegian hard rock and heavy metal singer. Known for being the former vocalist of bands Ark, Beyond Twilight, Millenium, Vagabond, The Snakes, and most notably of power metal band Masterplan, as well as for his solo career as Jorn.

A fabulous collection of rock numbers from Eddie Cochran to Wheatus by way of Status Quo and Black Sabbath that will appeal not only to the air guitarists among us, but to everyone who finds great rock music exhilarating and enjoyable. Whether you're giving the grand solo performance in the privacy of you own home or hammering down the motorway with the wind in your (remaining) hair this double album hits the spot. The exhausted will feel reinvigorated and the depressed can hardly fail to feel somewhat more cheerful after sampling a few of these tracks.
