Jaimeo Brown Transcendence's 'Work Songs' resurrects stories of workers and prisoners worldwide in a call to action during tense times in America, on an album that deftly fuses the acoustic and the digital, compellingly connecting jazz and blues with contemporary rock, hip-hop and electronic music. Jaimeo Brown Transcendence is the product of long-time collaboration between Brown and co-producer/guitarist Chris Sholar (who won a GRAMMY® Award for his work on Kanye West and Jay-Z's Watch the Throne). Both emerging from a generation that appreciates the jazz in hip hop, the artists with whom this duo has collaborated with speaks for itself. Brown, as drummer, has sat behind the skins for Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana, Q-Tip, Carl Craig, Kenny Garrett, Geri Allen, and Bobby Hutcherson, among others. Sholar's work as guitarist and producer has spanned the likes of Beyonce, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, A Tribe Called Quest, Robert Glasper, D'Angelo, Just Blaze, Common, Dr. Dre and more.

Drummer/composer John Hollenbeck and his 20-piece Large Ensemble will release their third album, All Can Work, January 26 on New Amsterdam Records. The album follows the band’s Grammy-nominated releases A Blessing (2005) and eternal interlude (2009), and pays tribute to the Large Ensemble’s late trumpet player Laurie Frink, a key force in the group and the jazz community. The album title is from an email exchange between Frink and Hollenbeck; the phrase epitomizes the flexible, optimistic resolve that is needed by everyone involved to create a record such as this one.

Brazil is a live album by Australian band Men at Work, released in 1998. This album was recorded at a live show in Brazil, hence the title. It was first released there as Brazil '96, but for the international release, the year was removed and a new studio recording, "The Longest Night", was added.

Dinner is Danish producer and singer Anders Rhedin. Following the release of his EP collection and last year’s debut LP Psychic Lovers, the now LA-based artist presents New Work on Captured Tracks. Enlisted Josh da Costa (Regal Degal, Ducktails) to produce the album with him, Dinner and Josh worked in the nighttime at off-hours at a studio in an industrial part of downtown LA. The album's songs were recorded on the spot with no preparation time. In-between studio sessions, Dinner recorded and overdubbed material in his apartment on an early 80's 4-track recorder.
