You probably already know whether or not you're going to like this album, but for those who haven't yet encountered the phenomenon called Sarah Brightman, a stab at objective description may be in order. The genre is British crossover classical, with a mixture of contemporary pop-style tunes and more traditional numbers, in this case Christmas carols…
Released swiftly after Ghost Stories – just a year and a half, all things considered – A Head Full of Dreams plays like a riposte to that haunted 2014 album. Where Chris Martin spent Ghost Stories in a mournful mood – his sorrow perhaps derived from his divorce to Gwyneth Paltrow or perhaps not; it's best not to read too much into the tabloid headlines – the Coldplay leader sees nothing but sunshine and stars on A Head Full of Dreams. This new recording by Ondine includes the world premiere recordings of four works by the celebrated Finnish contemporary composer Einojuhani Rautavaara (b. 1928). Rubáiyát (2015) is a song cycle based on the poetry of Omar Khayyam (1048–1131). The work was written for Gerald Finley who in this recording sings the solo part of the orchestral version of the work.

The band releases their debut called "Almost Human", a conceptual record based in Carlo Collodi's "Adventures Of Pinocchio". Despite the quality of the performers and the voice of Jenny Lewis (reminiscent of Christina Murphy Booth from Magenta), the album doesn't impress the audience due to the lack of elaboration. The melodies are good, the composition also, but something is missing…
That Was Then This is Now features 11 tracks compiled from ear X-tacy 1 and 2 (newly re-mastered!), plus 5 new tracks featuring the original Andy Timmons Band line-up of Mitch Marine on drums and Mike Daane on bass. This marks Andy's first official release in the U.S. (hard to believe).
