After the massive success of his 1981 album Face Value, Phil Collins didn't take a much of a break. Genesis released Abacab six months later, then headed out on a long tour. When they got back, Collins jumped right into recording his second solo album, 1982's Hello, I Must Be Going! The album wasn't a huge departure from the formula established on Face Value, built as it was on introspective, gut-spilling ballads, horn-driven R&B jams, arty rockers, and dramatic breakup songs…

Hello, I Must Be Going! is the second solo studio album by English singer-songwriter Phil Collins. The album brought Collins his first nomination for British Male Artist at the Brit Awards in 1983. The album contains the cover version of The Supremes' hit "You Can't Hurry Love", one of Collins' best-known singles. Nine of the album's ten tracks made some sort of chart worldwide, although "You Can't Hurry Love" was the album's most significant hit. Other notable tracks include the modern-jazz instrumental "The West Side", and "Thru These Walls", a dark voyeuristic song about a man listening through the wall to his neighbours partaking in unseemly nighttime activities. The dark "I Don't Care Anymore" reached No. 39 in the U.S., giving Collins his first Grammy Award nomination for Best Rock Vocal Performance, Male in 1984.

The seven-disc Stanley Clarke anthology, The Complete 1970s Epic Albums Collection, brings together all six of the influential jazz bassist's original albums for Epic. Included here: 1974's Stanley Clarke, 1975's Journey to Love, 1976's School Days, 1978's Modern Man, 1979's I Wanna Play for You, as well as the 1991 concert compilation Live (1976-1977). These are highly recommended jazz, funk, and fusion releases and must-haves for any Clarke fan.
