It's been 24 years since AMORPHIS changed the metal world forever with their second album »Tales From The Thousand Lakes«; an epic piece of work that paved the way for one of the most successful Finnish music careers of all time. On twelve albums so far, AMORPHIS has brought us closer to the Finnish national epic, the "Kalevala", toured the world several times, received countless gold records and managed to achieve success after success with their unmistakable mix of metal, folklore and rock.

Robby Valentine is a Dutch singer and multi-instrumentalist who started his professional career in the eighties, and is the frontman of his band Valentine. After his professional start as the keyboard player in Dutch symphonic rock band Line, he soon moved on to form the melodic hard rock band 1st Avenue in 1987, together with vocalist Peter Struyk (ex-Vandenberg). This band released two albums when Robby had already left. In 1989 he joined Dutch ‘happy metal’ band Zinatra, which enjoyed great popularity in predominantly Asia and South America, as well as The Netherlands. This band toured independently, and opened up for David Lee Roth and Steve Vai. In 1990, Valentine signed a solo deal and started working on his first album…

Italo disco pioneer and electronic music legend Giorgio Moroder is teaming up with producer Raney Shockne to compose the forthcoming soundtrack for USA’s crime drama Queen Of The South, which stars Alice Braga, Peter Gadiot, and Veronica Falcon. The duo last worked together in 2016 on the soundtrack for Disney’s Tron RUN/r video game. Moroder is known for his contributions to Cat People, Midnight Express, Scarface, and Flashdance, among others, as well as his Grammy-winning work on Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories.
The Queen Of The South score marks Moroder’s return to TV and film scoring after over three decades. Today we hear the album’s lead single “Moyocoyotzin.” Their electro-noir concoction blends retro synthesizers with classical and Latin stylings. The crashing bass and firing synths melt into an eerie strings arrangement. Listen below.
