…The Queen Anne Ode is a solemn piece, again, a real pleasure to listen to, but not exactly a memorable showstopper. If you are a fan of Hogwood, as am I, this is a must have CD. Nothing he ever did is a complete wash, and this collection a far cry from it. This is Vintage Hogwood. Call it "Early Original Instrument."

Compilations are highly useful in understanding the works of the inexhaustibly tuneful British composer Henry Purcell (1659-1695). He had a few big hits, like the Funeral Music for Queen Mary (which is included here) and the opera Dido and Aeneas (which isn't). But much of his best music is scattered around in small bits, residing within genres that are rather odd from today's perspective. Purcell spent much of his short adult life as a theater composer, and his incidental music, for example, is filled with perfect miniatures…

The soundtrack to the Queen biopic will please both casuals and obsessives. For the former, lots of hits: “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” “Under Pressure,” and, of course, the grandiose title track among them. And for the latter, Queen struts out rare live tracks and fresh updates to classics. “We Will Rock You” merges a studio and live performance, “Don’t Stop Me Now” features newly recorded guitar parts from Brian May. The surviving members of Queen also recorded their very own arrangement of the famous 20th Century Fox theme. But the biggest jewel in the crown is the addition of five songs from the band’s dramatic 1985 Live Aid performance—a faithful re-creation of which serves as the movie's climax—now available for the first time. Ayyy-oh!

The new Imperia album is titled as 'Queen of Light'. The album title symbolizes the wonder of birth. As Helena's baby girl Angel Michaelsen was born during the production, also the band has given a symbolic birth to a new child - a new album. The 'Queen of Light' consists of not less than 13 new songs. You will hear an album of Atmospheric Metal with a multitude of different emotions and feelings; from the fast up-tempo metal songs to slow bombastic ballads and even to some extreme experimental vocals and sounds with an eastern touch. It is an album full of different directions and surprises - it is the surprising world of Imperia.

On July 27, 1986, Queen performed the largest-ever stadium concert at the Népstadion in Budapest in front of 80,000 ecstatic fans. The concert was part of the famed Magic Tour, which was the last time the band toured with lead singer Freddie Mercury. Now, this original concert film has been remastered in high definition and features many of Queen's favorite tracks Bohemian Rhapsody, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, I Want To Break Free and We Are The Champions. With three years to go before the fall of the Berlin Wall, this was the first Western rock concert performed in a stadium behind the then Iron Curtain. It was of such significance to the Hungarian authorities and film industry that a group of the country's top film cameramen and technicians were brought together to film it for posterity. / Bonus Feature: A Magic Year, a 27 minute feature looking at Queen during this time period.

We Are the Champions: Final Live in Japan is a live concert video of English rock band Queen's performance at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo on 11 May 1985 as part of the Japanese leg of The Works Tour. The film's title is slightly inaccurate, as Queen actually performed two more shows in Japan (in Nagoya on 13 May, and in Osaka on the 15th). The 90-minute film is not the full concert, leaving out Brian May's guitar solo and Dragon Attack. The video is also edited for time by cutting away setup waits between songs. Only officially released in Japan, it first appeared as a video release in 1992, then as a laserdisc and VHS release, before a DVD release in 2004 with new artwork.
