The new box contains no fewer than three different Williams recordings of that most popular of all guitar works, Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez – from 1964 with the Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra, from 1974 with Barenboim and the English Chamber Orchestra, and from 1983 with Frémaux and the Philharmonia Orchestra – plus a performance of its much-loved Adagio in Williams’s celebrated 1993 “Seville Concert”. That entire concert is presented here too, on both CD and DVD – the latter also including a bonus documentary portrait of the artist. Reviewing his second studio recording of the concerto, Gramophone in January 1975 proclaimed: “John Williams himself has already made one of the finest [versions], yet if possible even more conclusively this new one must be counted a winner, irresistible from first to last.

Capitalizing on the early ‘70s kung-fu craze, the film tells the story of a mysterious statue which contains the secret location of acupuncture points that may cure many illnesses – or lead to instant death if they are applied in the wrong order. When rival gangs start a fierce hunt after the statue, it’s up to Dan (Joe Don Baker) to get the statue for the mysterious girl who had hired him. Briefly teaming up with blaxploitation icon Jim Kelly, Baker is ready to deliver swift punches, escape death traps and throw people across panes until he gets what he wants…

Unique limited edition consists of seven discs and includes 111 songs and instrumentals of the great Irish woman named Enya. At the initiative of Olaf Thulemann was created this collection of albums with bonus tracks arranged in chronological order. Although Man had reformed in 1983 to perform live, The Twang Dynasty was Mans first studio record release in sixteen years. The album was a very strong comeback that stands alongside the bands work in the 1970s. Featuring a line-up of Micky Jones (Guitar, Vocals), Deke Leonard (Guitar, Vocals), Martin Ace (Bass, Vocals) and John Weathers (drums), The Twang Dynasty featured excellent material such as A Feather on the Scales of Justice, The Chinese Cut and The Wings of Mercury (dedicated to the late John Cipollina of Quicksilver Messenger Service who had performed with MAN). The deluxe set is newly re-mastered and features two additional CDs of Mans complete set at Glastonbury Festival on 25th June 1994, featuring many tracks from The Twang Dynasty, along with splendid performances of classic tracks such as CMon, Many Are Called, But Few Get Up, Bananas and Romain.

Constance Demby is one of the few representatives of the New Age movement (in both her music and her personal philosophies) who consistently creates artistic, highly expressive compositions. Demby was trained in classical music as a child, and her artistic spirit led her to also master several other art forms; at the University of Michigan, she studied painting, sculpture, and music. It was her work as a sculptor that led her to new dimensions of sound. As she was torching a sheet of metal, it roared thunderously, and thus was born the Sonic Steel Instruments: the Whale Sail, and the Space Bass, enormous bowed instruments with deep archetypal resonances.
