SCREATURE have returned with a vamping new single titled “NORTH OF ORDER” in the run-up to their latest LP ‘Old Hand New Wave.’ The Sacramento based group, consisting of Liz Mahoney (Vocals), Miranda Vera (Drums), Sarah Scherer (Organ), & Chris Orr (Guitar) create blistering deathrock that thrives off forward momentum. “North of Order” contains traces of old-skool sun-bleached goth rock, while exuding a scathing concoction of bare bones rock n’ roll. Through the sheer might of big guitars and a propulsive rhythm section, Screature create a suitable bed for Mahoney’s deadpan meets caterwaul vocal approach.
