Dave Matthews Band began their 2000 Summer Tour ready to unveil new material created in their Charlottesville studio the previous winter. This concert at the beloved Deer Creek Music Center marked the first time many fans had heard or seen songs from these sessions performed live with the full band. Bartender, Grey Street, Sweet Up and Down, Raven, and JTR, all make their earliest public appearances at this show. Excellent thoughtful playing from LeRoi Moore and spacious renditions of crowd favorites make this show one to vibe to. For the first time, this new Live Trax is offered in both CD and vinyl formats.

On August 1, 1998 Dave Matthews Band was four months into a tour supporting their quintessential album, Before These Crowded Streets. Live Trax Vol. 57 highlights this show's classic DMB songs performed by the original founding members. With the first appearances of the heartbeat intro into Pantala Naga Pampa>Rapunzel and a quick interpolation of Three Little Birds during Stefan’s bass solo into Watchtower, this show is not without its own unique flavor. As always, LeRoi Moore shines from note one of Seek Up to his beautiful work on Say Goodbye and Lover Lay Down.

With the spectacular river gorge as the backdrop, Dave Matthews Band took their final bow of the 2016 tour at the Gorge Amphitheatre before heading into an extended hiatus. The weekend, which has been affectionately dubbed “Labor Dave Weekend,” was full of incredible energy and solid performances that covered the breadth of the band’s catalogue. This show from September 4th kicked off with “The Stone,” complete with an audience sing-along, and ended with a two-song encore of “Pig” and “Stay (Wasting Time).” Special guests included Carlos Malta on woodwinds on “Say Goodbye,” “The Maker,” and “Typical Situation,” while touring crew member Joe Lawlor played guitar on a fiery performance of “Rhyme & Reason."

In the spring of 2009, right before the official release of Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King, DMB embarked on a lengthy touring schedule throughout the US and Europe. New tunes like Funny the Way It Is and Why I Am made their live debut and held their own next to DMB classics such as Everyday and Rhyme & Reason, the latter featuring Joe Lawlor on electric guitar. This show from Alpharetta, GA also captures the live debut of Beach Ball and the rare, full band rendition of Rye Whiskey. The energy throughout this show feels fresh and the band was clearly ready to share new material with the fans all summer long.

The typical DMB concert during the Summer of 2014 was a little experimental. The band played two sets, the first featuring a cast of rotating acoustic performances of songs both old and new. The second set was a full fledged electric rock show. This set from the band’s stop in Tampa features unique versions of favorites from Snow Outside to I’ll Back You Up. We also get to hear some bowed bass in #27 and great percussion from Carter in the song Sweet. The second set features all bangers with the soaring vocals of So Right and the jazz explorations of Seek Up among the highlights. The evening ends with a great version of Good Good Time followed by You and Me.
