Mad Love 1985

Culled from three 1985 gigs in the UK during a transitional and transcendent time in the band’s story, Sonic Youth’s The Walls Have Ears appeared / disappeared as a 2LP set in 1986, not just a live album but an artful tapestry full of live experimentation with songs, between-song tape segues, darkness, humor and audio verité. It’s now issued for the first time officially under the band’s auspices.

Prince Rogers Nelson (June 7, 1958 – April 21, 2016) was an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Widely regarded as one of the greatest musicians of his generation, he was known for his flamboyant, androgynous persona and wide vocal range, which included a far-reaching falsetto and high-pitched screams. Prince produced his albums himself, pioneering the Minneapolis sound. His music incorporated a wide variety of styles, including funk, R&B, rock, new wave, soul, synth-pop, pop, jazz, and hip hop. He often played most or all instruments on his recordings.

The Studio Collection vinyl LP box set featuring all of Sting's solo studio albums on A&M Records in one collection for the very first time. Included are eight studio albums across eleven 180-gram heavyweight vinyl LPs in exact replicas of the original release artwork plus two albums that are previously unreleased on vinyl namely Brand New Day and Sacred Love all housed in a high-quality two-part slipcase box package. New vinyl masters for all were cut at the legendary Abbey Road studios to ensure exceptional audio quality throughout.

Special coupling of the great Madness anthologies–both audio and video versions so you get the complete picture of the classic ska-pop band. This U.K.-only collection attempts to condense the band's career onto a single disc – from the early singles to 1985's Mad Not Mad. Though the two distinct periods lead to a somewhat disjointed listen, the chronological sequencing works as an adequate career survey, and the offering of the non-LP tracks "Driving in My Car" and "(Waiting) For the Ghost Train" are a nice touch. Complete Madness is still the best collection, but this one isn't bad either, despite a few omissions.

Collector's box set from Anthem includes their seven studio albums, a rare live album "LAST ANTHEM," and a bonus CD with tracks not included in their original albums. Also includes a DVD with excerpts from "LAST ANTHEM" and interview with the members. Limited to 2000 copy.
