La-La Land Records and 20th Century Fox present the remastered release of acclaimed composer Mark Snow’s (THE X-FILES, MILLENIUM, GHOST WHISPERER, BLUE BLOODS) original motion picture score to the 1998 motion picture THE X-FILES: FIGHT THE FUTURE, starring David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson and John Neville. Composer Snow launches the beloved television series, THE X-FILES onto the silver screen with an astounding score that retains the show’s already established sonic palette of atmospheric synths, while opening up its musical universe with the addition of a live orchestra. This special limited edition release features much improved sound and contains some music not previously released. Also, the incorrectly reversed stereo channels on the original soundtrack release have been corrected here. Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Ronny Cox, Lisa Eilbacher, Steven Berkoff, Paul Reiser, and Jonathan Banks appear in supporting roles.
This first film in the Beverly Hills Cop franchise shot Murphy to international stardom, won the People's Choice Award for "Favorite Motion Picture" and was nominated for both the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay in 1985. It was an immediate blockbuster, receiving critical acclaim and earning $234 million at the North American domestic box office, making it the highest-grossing film released in 1984 in the U.S.

Amram goes on to score John Frankenheimer masterpiece The Manchurian Candidate as well as initial but never used score for same director's Seven Days In May. Forever Amber is a 1947 American romantic drama Technicolor film starring Linda Darnell and Cornel Wilde. It was based on the book of the same name by Kathleen Winsor. It also starred Richard Greene, George Sanders, Glenn Langan, Richard Haydn, and Jessica Tandy. The film was adapted by Jerome Cady, Philip Dunne and Ring Lardner, Jr., and directed by Otto Preminger. The film's score, by composer David Raksin, was nominated for the Academy Award for Original Music Score.

The genre of the movie musical is commonly said to have died in the early 1970s, but some of these songs belong in the canon of great musical tunes. Their authors, Paul Williams and Kenny Ascher, received Oscar nominations both for the entire song score and for the unlikely radio hit "Rainbow Connection," which Kermit the Frog sings with all the dreamy wistfulness of a short green Judy Garland. Actually, "Rainbow Connection" serves the same purpose in this film that "Over the Rainbow" serves in The Wizard of Oz, with nearly equal effectiveness: an opening establishment of the characters' driving urge for something more in life. "Moving Right Along" and "I Hope That Something Better Comes Along" achieve a Cole Porter-esque cleverness. The poignant nostalgia of "I'm Going to Go Back There Someday" is enough to make the listener forget it's being sung by a blue piece of felt. There are a few mediocre moments, but most of Williams and Ascher's songs are better than the movie itself.

The Dunes (Official Motion Picture Score) marks the first feature-length film score from artist & composer Klayton. Best known for his high-octane electronic-rock project Celldweller, Klayton approached The Dunes with elaborate sound design and pristine production, to create a disturbingly ambient and frenetic audio companion to the psychological thriller. Using pulsing rhythms and cinematic tension, Klayton delivers a sense of unease with creeping beats and airy synths across the score, providing the perfect soundtrack for a descent into madness.
