"The Great Gig in the Sky" is the fifth track on The Dark Side of the Moon, the 1973 album by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd.

"The Endless River" has as its starting point the music that came from the 1993 "Division Bell" sessions, when David Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason played freely together at Britannia Row and Astoria studios. This was the first time they had done so since the "Wish You Were Here" sessions in the seventies. Those sessions resulted in "The Division Bell", the band’s last studio album.

If the end of the 80's sounded the death knell for many sacred monsters at the top of their art a decade or even fifteen years ago, they were the synonym of a new birth for Pink Floyd.

The Dark Side of the Moon was a benchmark record. It turned the musical world on its ear with a hitherto unheard combination of sounds, and changed things considerably for Pink Floyd.

"The Division Bell" is the fourteenth studio album by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd. This is the second Pink Floyd album recorded without founding member Roger Waters, the album was written mostly by guitarist and singer David Gilmour and keyboardist Richard Wright. Recording took place in locations including the band's Britannia Row Studios and Gilmour's houseboat, Astoria. The production team included longtime Pink Floyd collaborators such as producer Bob Ezrin, engineer Andy Jackson, saxophonist Dick Parry, and bassist Guy Pratt. The Division Bell received mixed reviews, but reached number one in more than 10 countries, including the UK and the US. It was certified double platinum in the US the year it was released, and triple platinum in 1999. Unused material from the Division Bell sessions became part of Pink Floyd's next album, "The Endless River" (2014).

Pink Floyd will release two physical versions of their first new music in over 25 years, recent single “Hey Hey Rise Up,” which was first released digitally in April to support of the people of Ukraine.

Released to mark the 40th anniversary of Pink Floyd's legendary "Wish You Were Here", this album features the London Orion Orchestra performing a symphonic interpretation of the album, recorded at Abbey Road Studios where Pink Floyd did the original. From the world of rock, keyboardist Rick Wakeman and singer Alice Cooper kick things off with the vocal version of Wish You Were Here, while guitarists Stephen McElroy (Steve Mac) and Dave Fowler from tribute band the Australian Pink Floyd Show bring their best Floydian fretwork to the instrumental version.

By 1977 England was in the throes of punk, a musical revolution that held hugely successful "dinosaur" rock groups in contempt.

A unique Jazz album entitled "The Jazz Side of The Moon" is the next in Chesky Records series of newly recorded Jazz performances. The album is subtitled “The Music of Pink Floyd” and as you might guess, it presents a new take on the classic album "The Dark Side of The Moon" by Pink Floyd. To create a Jazz interpretation of The Dark Side of the Moon, album Co-Producer and Hammond B3 Organ player Sam Yahel called on three top Jazz artists to join him in this project. They are Mike Moreno on Electric & Acoustic Guitars, Ari Hoenig on Drums and Seamus Blake playing the Tenor Sax.
