One World, One Voice was a charity collaboration project conceived by Kevin Godley (of 10cc), released on CD in the UK. Godley recorded the music by going all over the world and have one continuous "chain tape". There is all kinds of different musical styles and they all blend in with each other. The album features Sting, Godley & Creme, Laurie Anderson, The Chieftains, Clannad, Salif Keita, Lou Reed, Joe Strummer, Suzanne Vega, Dave Stewart, Peter Gabriel, and many more. AFAIK this CD is now out-of-print.

Chamber Music is a collaboration between Ballake Sissoko, who plays the traditional kora, a lute-harp from Mali, and Vincent Segal, the French cellist who plays for the trip-hop band Bumcello. It is also, quite simply, one of the most elegant and beautiful recordings of world music in recent years. At a time when cross-cultural music has tended toward highly-caffeinated electric pop and dance music, Sissoke and Segal remind us that there is room and maybe even a need for a quieter, more refined world music. Both musicians have displayed an aptitude for defying expectations the list of trip-hop cellists is pretty short, after all. And Ballake Sissoko has become a familiar name on the world music scene through his work with American blues legend Taj Mahal and Italian minimalist Ludovico Einaudi, among others.

Debademba is a group formed from the magical encounter of two fellow musicians: guitarist and inventive beat master Abdoulaye Traore from Burkina Faso and Malian singer Mohamed Diaby, a charismatic griot. These colorful characters are, like the other members of the group, Parisian Africans who are very prominent on the capital's cosmopolitan live music scene. The kind of music they make is modern and explosive, drawing from afrobeat, highlife and mbalax styles, with hints of Mandinka music mixed in, all combined with strong blues elements and the occasional nod to rock. Souleymane is a powerful manifesto and an invitation to celebrate.

As a soloist, piano player Alfio Origlio has been collaborating for fifteen years with world-famous artists such as Salif Keita, Henri Salvador, Stephano Di Battista, André Ceccarelli, Ernie Watts, Didier, Richard Galliano, Paris Jazz Big Band, Dominique Di Piazza, and many more… More recently, he performed on Michel JONASZ last album and toured with him during the whole year 2005. Alfio Origlio also leads a career on his own and this 3rd album is being released at the end of three years spent on concerts and writing. His writing was thought in order to marry a flamenco percussionist with a bass player who comes from pop and a jazz pianist, plus a dancer on stage without resulting in a simple fusion of musical styles. Alfio Origlio had set himself this challenge.
