New Gold Dream (81–82–83–84) is the fifth studio album by Scottish rock band Simple Minds. The album was released in September 1982 by record label Virgin, and was a turning point for the band as they gained critical and commercial success in the UK and Europe. When creating their 1984 album The Unforgettable Fire, the Irish rock band U2 saw New Gold Dream as an influence. The album was included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.

UK four CD round up of British doo-wop pop legends The Darts covering their recordings for the Magnet label between 1977-81 Disc One is their #9 charting self-titled album. The second disc features the Everyone Plays Darts LP which hit #12 in the summer of 1978. Among the six bonus tracks is the #18 hit 'Don't Let It Fade Away'. Disc Three has the #38 charting album Dart Attack. Dating from 1979 it includes the hit singles 'Get It' (#16), 'Duke Of Earl' (#6), 'Can't Get Enough Of Your Love' (#43) and 'Reet Petite' (#51). The fourth and final disc is the rare Darts Across America album, originally released only in the USA. Now restored to it's original LP art and coming with 13 bonus cuts. The 20 page booklet contains detailed liner notes by History Of Rock editor Michael Heatley in discussion with vocalist Griff Fender and pictures of all the relevant record sleeves. The band remain in the Top 500 Chart acts of all time in the UK and still regularly play one off shows across the country.

The Singles 81?85 is a singles compilation album released in October 1985 by Depeche Mode. The compilation was not originally released in North America, being replaced by its counterpart Catching Up with Depeche Mode. This was their first ever release with a picture of the band on the cover. In 1998, to coincide with the release of The Singles 86>98, the band remastered, repackaged, and re-released the compilation worldwide. Upon re-release there was a typographical change to The Singles 81>85 in order for consistency with the later release The Singles 86>98. Two bonus tracks (one of which had never appeared on an official CD to date) were included on the 1998 re-release.

Super deluxe six disc edition boasts an abundance of material. Disc one features a 2016 remaster (by Andrew Walter at Abbey Road) approved by Charlie Burchill and the second disc gathers 12-inch remixes and instrumentals of the singles, a few of which enjoy their CD debut. Various edits and B-sides can be found on the third CD in the set while disc four features previously unreleased BBC John Peel and Kid Jensen radio sessions, recorded in February and August 1982. All ten tracks on disc five are previously unreleased; made up of alternative mixes and demos and the icing on the cake is the sixth and final disc which is a DVD, featuring Charlie Burchill and Ronald Prent's 5.1 surround sound mix, first released on the now long out-of-print DVD-Audio in 2005. This mix of the album is a unique 'full duration' mix which is different to the standard version. DVD also includes promo videos and a few Top of the Pops performances.
