King Gizzard

SLIFT kicks off with 5 nervous garage psych-rock tracks loaded up with fuzz mayhem and maniac beats sharp enough to knock your head off spinning with their hypnotic riffs. The power trio lined up on the front of the stage delivers a mighty wall of sound that sets ground on space rock grooves to get to those garage kraut drives carved with alienated psychobilly inspired vocals reminiscing of King Gizzard and the Lizzard Wizzard and Thee Oh Sees.

The Brussels based trio Don Kapot released their first EP on Mr. Nakayasi Records in 2018. They recently teamed up with the Belgian jazz / not jazz label W.E.R.F. records, with whom they released a limited edition cassette "Don Kaset" in October 2020. On March 26th they proudly present the release of a new full album: Hooligan. The album contains seven collectively written songs and takes the listener on an adventurous instrumental journey full of steaming grooves, unbridled joy in the game and humour. The album can be heard as a completely unhinged and idiosyncratic mix of punk, jazz, afrobeat and all this with a hint of spirituality.

On their fifth album, The Murlocs reflect on those who leave a profound imprint on our lives: the saviors and hellraisers and assorted other mystifying characters. The most personal and boldly confident work yet from the Melbourne-based five-piece (which includes two members of King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard); the album sets their storytelling to eleven infectious tracks written mostly on piano, lending a greater emotional intensity to the band’s restless and radiant brand of garage-rock.
