Since his days with Public Image Ltd., Jah Wobble has been carving a unique niche on bass guitar, drawing on myriad musical styles for his prolific output of over 40 albums and countless collaborations. Following the critical acclaim afforded to last year's six CD box set Redux, Jah Wobble In Dub is an affordable entrée to one aspect of JW's music, a style with which he is most commonly associated and yet is somehow difficult to define. Compiled and annotated by Wobble, who has also contributed some of his paintings for the front cover and the booklet, Jah Wobble In Dub picks up where Redux left off, sampling his 30 Hertz catalogue from the mid-1990s onwards while also dipping back into his 80s solo work. In Dub also boasts four brand new recordings. 'Metamorphosis (Burnt Umber Youth Dub)' and 'Inspector Out Of Space (Youth Inner Space Dub)' are taken from Wobble's new album with legendary producer Youth, Everything Is Nothing while 'Forest Funk Dub' and 'Forest Gate Dub' are brand new tracks, also recorded by the new-look Invaders Of The Heart.

English tenor Ian Bostridge and Chinese classical guitarist Xuefei Yang present this selection of works by Dowland, Schubert, Britten and Argento alongside Chinese folk songs. Celebrating the candlelit intimacy and storytelling environment of the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare's Globe, Songs from Our Ancestors merges trajectories of history, music and poetry in a thoughtful and eclectic journey that is personal as well as global. Bostridge sings these most famous of Dowland’s lute songs for the very first time, while Yang contributes her own arrangements of some of the most storied Chinese melodies.

Qigang Chen is one of the most prominent Chinese composers working today, whose music has been commissioned and performed by leading orchestras and musicians around the world. Er Huang, commissioned by Carnegie Hall, is based on a number of melodies from Peking operas, nostalgically recollected, while the unusual structure of Enchantements oublies explores a journey into the essence of beauty. Un temps disparu features the erhu, a two-stringed Chinese fiddle, and makes use of an ancient Chinese melody called Three Variations on the Plum Blossom.

Today, Australian born Hong Kong based Kelly Dance releases her Sci-Fi infused album WILD GRASS via Broken Stone Records. Inspired by Chinese Science-Fiction stories, the gorgeous and unique album captures, reflects and is a small tribute to living, loving and coming of age in Modern China.
