"Spiritual Wings", is the first collaboration between two of the most international Spanish performers, the clarinetist JOAN ENRIC LLUNA and the pianist Josu De Solaun to offer us their look at the most intimate corners of one of the greatest composers in history as is Johannes Brahms.

His 16th album with Signum Classics, the Welsh pianist, Llŷr Williams, brings a profound musical intelligence to his work as soloist, accompanist and chamber musician. His new album of compositions by Johannes Brahms offers a comprehensive exploration of Brahms' introspective and expressive piano works.

Music analysts refer to Johannes Brahms (1833–1897) as the “third B”, after Bach and Beethoven. Although music history frequently labels him as the last German Romantic of the 19th century, his style and his attitude to art need to be understood somewhat more broadly.

For pianist Victor Rosenbaum's fourth CD on Bridge Records; the artist turns to the last three piano compositions of Johannes Brahms. Rosenbaum's Schubert disc was described as a “powerful and poignant record of human experience”, and much the same can be said of these profound readings of Brahms's late masterpieces.

Johannes Brahms’ four symphonies were greeted by his contemporaries as the most promising answer to Beethoven’s legendary legacy, and they have remained at the core of the symphonic repertoire ever since. Steering clear of poetic titles and adhering to traditional forms, they are nonetheless full of drama and musical innovation. This digital boxset presents the symphonies in chronological order, performed by the Pittsburgh Symphony under the baton of Marek Janowski, one of the greatest interpreters of German Romantic repertoire.

Live Recording 14.12.1954. The Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor, Op. 15, is a work for piano and orchestra completed by Johannes Brahms in 1858. The composer gave the work's public debut in Hanover, the following year. It was his first-performed orchestral work, and (in its third performance) his first orchestral work performed to audience approval.

Julian Bliss and James Baillieu present a recording Johannes Brahms’ Clarinet sonatas, Op. 120 and an arrangement of his 4 Ernste Gesänge, Op.121 arranged by Bliss. These late works were inspired by the great clarinettist Richard Mühlfeld, principal clarinet of the Meiningen Court Orchestra, without whom we would not have had this clarinet repertoire.

Acclaimed pianist Boris Berezovsky, joined here by the Orchestre Philharmonique de l'Oural led by Dmitri Liss, revel in Johannes Brahms' exhilarating second piano concerto - a sweeping epic combining Classical nobility and Romantic fire. With the same joy and virtuosity, Berezovsky's performances of the Variations on a Theme of Paganini and the Hungarian Dances prove once again that Brahms was one of the last great masters of the Romantic piano.
