For 40 years Allan Taylor, born in Brighton in 1945, has been considered as the consummate performer, a writer of literary gracefulness whose troubadour chronicles encapsulate the realism of otherwise unsung heroes, otherwise uncharted lives. His songs are written from a lifetime of travelling; always the observer passing through, each song is a vignette of life, like a story told over a drink in a bar. Each has an integrity that tells you it comes from something real; characters come to life like people you know and places become as familiar as if you had been there. Stockfisch Records again produced a special project including a symphony orchestra: We speak about the 2016 production with the grandseigneur of songwriting, Allan Taylor! The SACD will be titled: "There Was a Time".

2012 two CD set. Based on the bestselling book by Rob Young, Electric Eden let's you hear how Britain's traditional music was transformed by Folk singers, guitar geniuses, Psychedelic troubadours and Jazz virtuosos. A generation of musicians drew inspiration from a rural paradise that nurtured the Indian summer of British Folk-Rock in the late 1960s and early '70s: an Albion dreamtime where mythical landscapes, creative isolation and pastoral time-travelling combined to forge the golden age of Folk-Rock. This unique package was entirely compiled by Rob Young, author of the bestselling book, and includes a thorough and fascinating sleeve note written by Rob which details the story behind the selections. It features such purveyors of the genre as Fairport Convention, John Martyn, Bert Jansch, Pentangle and Nick Drake.

Originally released in 1970, this was the fourth release from the British folk-rock group Pentangle and may qualify as their swan song. With only five songs, Jacqui McShee, Bert Jansch, John Renbourn, Terry Cox, and Danny Thompson create a dense, layered sound that is woven within the fabric of each song like a tapestry. Although known for their eclectic approach and love of jazz, here the group concentrates on traditional material like "A Maid That's Deep in Love" and the 18-minute "Jack Orion." A Pentangle fan will immediately note that John Renbourn is playing an electric guitar on "A Maid That's Deep in Love." This departure from purely acoustic doesn't create a bigger Fairport Convention or Steeleye Span sound but is imbedded quietly into the song…

The Chronicles of Father Robin is a Norwegian progressive rock band consisting of members from the bands Wobbler, Tusmørke, Jordsjø, and The Samuel Jackson Five. The music is inspired by the 70's Prog scene and was conceived over a period of 30 years. In 1995, in a Norwegian high school, they worked on the whole concept of the Father Robin trilogy. After some line-up changes and the addition of musicians, the band started to rearrange some old songs and work on new material which resulted in 18 songs of Symphonic Prog released as a boxset first and separately in September 2023.

With Book 3, The Chronicles of Father Robin reach the final chapter of “The Songs & Tales of Airoea”. This dynamic and soulful journey starts with the upbeat “Magical Chronicle”, a vocal driven track full of lush harmonies and clear references to prog classics such as Gentle Giant, Yezda Urfa and the Canterbury Scene. From the atmospheric “Skyslumber” and the soaring prog ballad that Yes never wrote, “Cloudship”, the album burst into the dynamic psych-rocker “Empress of the Sun”, a song full of energy and contrast eventually sliding into a keyboard lead middle part reminiscent of The Doors at their most adventurous. Finishing the album “Lost in the Palace Gardens” starts off with a beautiful acoustic guitar part brining associations to British folk bands such as Steeleye Span, but also the guitar work of a certain Jimmy Page.
