On February 2nd 2018, Poppy Ackroyd releases her first full-length album with One Little Indian Records, Resolve. A classically trained pianist, violinist, producer, and composer, Ackroyd turned heads in the neo-classical world with her previous works Escapement and Feathers, as well as her involvement in Hidden Orchestra (Tru Thoughts). Having played alongside giants of the genre, Hauschka and Nils Frahm, the unique musician has returned, fresh off the back of a mini-album Sketches, and set to release her brand new self-produced full-length record - her most ambitious and progressive piece of work to date…

Moments (2016). Danish label Music For Dreams releases another winner with the debut album from Danish artist Emil Breum aka The Swan And The Lake. "Moments" showcases Breum's talent for creating exquisite and sensitive soundscapes whose timeless atmosphere echoes contemporary classical composers as well as some of the more New Age-minded artists of the Berlin School. Although mostly known as a spiritual movement, New Age also spawned a musical ideology that lives on past the clutches of cults and communes: a purity in sound, and a longing for music to reflect the sounds of nature. "Moments" captures this essence perfectly, its compositions seeming to suspend time and prolong a sense of clarity, like staring out over a beautiful landscape at sunset - both a sobering and healing experience…

On 2nd June 7K! records' newly created contemporary classical imprint 7K! will release ‘Endless’ - the new album played entirely by Luca D’Alberto - the Italian composer who counts Wim and Donata Wenders, Peter Lindbergh and Lars Von Trier’s Zentropa as fans. Driven by pristine piano and rich strings, ‘Endless’ is sonically opulent with vivid, wonder-evoking pieces conveying wintry, widescreen panoramas and a propulsive arpeggio-fueled energy. Luca composed, arranged and played all instruments on ‘Endless’ himself - the violin, viola, violectra, cello and piano. It was produced by Martyn Heyne (who has worked with Nils Frahm, Lubomir Melnyk, Peter Broderick, Tiny Ruins and The National), with additional production by the lauded DJ/musician Henrik Schwarz.
